Love is in the air…it must be February. This month we are surrounded by hearts so it is a perfect reminder to think about our own. February is traditionally the coldest month of the year. So why not warm our bodies and heart all at once?

Drinking tea has been a tradition and ritual in many countries for centuries. You can look almost anywhere and find information on the benefits of drinking tea. Studies have shown that there are many benefits to drinking tea. Tea is rich in antioxidants, has little to no caffeine compared to coffee, can reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, can prevent bone loss, supports healthy teeth, boots the immune system, and can support digestive health.

Hibiscus tea can be enjoyed hot or cold. It has a tangy, fruity, and lemony flavor that is refreshing. It is rich in vitamin C and can be supportive for colds and flus. Reduces inflammation in the arteries and capillaries, helping to lower blood pressure.

Hawthorne is a warming herb that helps to calm a nervous heart. It can be used to help heal the heart when there are emotions or life events that are holding the heart back. Hawthorne helps to maintain healthy arteries and veins. It improves blood flow to the heart and overall cardiac function.

Rose hips are sour, sweet, and astringent and have a cooling effect. Help to relieve chronic inflammation. They are rich in vitamin C and can help support the immune system. They traditionally have been used to support the heart, reduce stress, calm the nerves, and lift the spirit.

Green tea has been used for centuries in Asia and has a long history. Medicinally it can be helpful to lower cholesterol levels, supports healthy blood pressure, decrease inflammation, and improve immune function. It is a rich antioxidant and with less affine than coffee can be a nice way to start the day.
